Graphic exhibition by Natalia Egorova, Maria Fadeeva, Dina Chetvertnaia, Igor Kotukov.
Exhibition “Simple stories” dedicated to subjects that surround us almost every day, to subjects that are rarely pretend to be objects of fine art. Artists try to see these subjects in a new way in their works; they try to endow them with new meanings and values. Using different languages of graphics, they breathe life into inanimate things and make them to appear before the audience in an unusual perspective, to expose their hidden nature.
Search beauty in simple things is an important theme in the history of fine art. Artists such as Giorgio Morandi, Dmitry Mitrokhin and many more used to work on this. Today young artists from Petrozavodsk and Saint Petersburg Natalia Egorova, Maria Fadeeva, Dina Chetvertnaia and Igor Kotukov solve this challenging task in their own way.
The exhibition “Simple stories” is an example of how the artist’s view can turn the most ordinary thing into the work of art.
