Zero Gravity Thinkers (ZGT) is an ongoing collaboration begun by Peter Principle and Dok Gregory in 2007 for the realization of their shortwave radio as audio source album "ZGT Radioprojekt". Undergoing a few transformations since then they have performed live as a duo playing prepared guitar and theremin/sampler/ISRS System, and as a trio with Zemi 17 on midi sax/sampler. ZGT has created sound installations, music for dance and multimedia performances and soundtracks among their many recording projects and live sets. They have performed in locations as diverse as tunnels, warehouses and the rivers edge, as well as event spaces like the Issue Project Room, Chelsea Art Museum, Midway and Galapagos. For these Fall 2009 performances ZGT will be presenting audio visual improvisations and compositions in collaboration with Russian VJ Yuri Elik. Generating waves of improvisation exploring atmospheric sonic spaces and the limits of their chosen instruments of expression, ZGT strive always towards a tangible transcendent experience through sound. Their music has been described as both strangely transportive and deeply psychedelic.

Starting from photography and slide projections, he began to hand-paint sldes and construct his own projection devices (still one of his favorite topics), and then got into computer and video projections which became his main tools of expression. When he started to work as a VJ in the beginning of 2000's, Yuri became an active member of the St.Petersburg scene. He worked with multitude of musicians from both St.Petersburg and all over the world who played noise, electronic, ethnic, rock, jazz and classical music. He played festivals in Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Hungary and USA, including regular participation in such events as SKIF, APosition, Noise vs. Glamour, Space of Joy. Besides Group 2012, he's member of Project503, Regis III, Silence Corporation,The Frozen Orchestra and YGO. His visual style changes with music, but his favourite topic is colourful, texture-rich psychedelic improvisation, immersing viewer into total audiovisual experience.
His collaboration with Dok Gregory began with their meeting at Psychic TV concert that resulted in invitation of Amoeba Technology to SKIF9 festival in 2005 and joint Amoeba Technology and 2012 performances in Russia, Finland and United States, participating in Russian-US project Silence Corporation, and, lately, spontaneous performances with ZGT during 2009 US tour with YGO.
